Mechanical Design Engineer
Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Salary £40 - £45,000 DOE
21 days holiday + bank holidays these increase with service, standard pension, overtime paid at an hourly rate, company bonus
The role is based in Mansfield after initial training hybrid working is available however the successful candidate must live within 15 mile radius of Mansfield.
Our client is established and well recognised in their field they manufacture bespoke conveyor and handling systems for a variety of customers in the FMCG industry. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer who will be providing innovative design concepts, value engineers solutions ideas and manufacturing drawing packages using Autodesk Inventor 3D and AutoCAD 2D CAD software. You will work on and be a key driver on multiple bespoke projects, working on and implementing a variety of solutions from proposal and concept design throughout to production and installation.
You will identify suitable suppliers for special parts and equipment, along with implementing accurate working assembly drawings, cutting lists and BoM’s. It will also be a requirement for you to travel to sites for design survey and follow up visits.
You must be an excellent communicator with excellent mechanical and preferably pneumatic design skills. Furthermore, you must enjoy working within a team and be flexible in your approach to tackling problems and issues.
The successful candidate will have a mechanical engineering design background, and be able to communicate at all levels, the designer will be out on site speaking with customers about their requirements.
