As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will join a growing M&E team in Nottingham, delivering mechanical building services design across a varied portfolio of projects.You will be responsible for producing detailed mechanical designs and specifications, supporting the delivery of projects to agreed time, cost, and quality targets. This will include developing cost‑effective engineering solutions, attending client meetings, preparing technical reports, reviewing tenders, and undertaking site inspections and condition surveys.You will work closely with other engineering and design disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery and will regularly use AutoCAD, Revit, IES, and Amtech as part of the design process.Due to the nature of some projects, the successful candidate must hold UK SC security clearance or be eligible to obtain it.What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Experience delivering mechanical building services design across multiple projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with working knowledge of IES and Amtech
- Strong technical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop practical and compliant solutions
- Good communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and project teams
- Eligibility for or existing UK SC Clearance
