• Develop advanced training modules specialising in International Standards on Auditing (ISA) tailored for the oil and gas sector (E&P, Upstream and Joint Ventures)
• Deliver expert-led workshops on industry-specific risk assessment, fraud detection (ISA 240) and auditing complex decommissioning provisions
• Train personnel on production-sharing contract (PSC) audits, cost recovery verification and joint interest billing (JIB) procedures
• Ensure all instructional content aligns with the latest IAASB frameworks and 2026 international financial reporting requirements
IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Oil & Gas auditing
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A reflective, proactive approach to professional development
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
• ACCA / ICAEW / CPA or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas accounting, auditing or consulting
• Strong hands-on experience with ISA-based audit engagements
• In-depth knowledge of upstream petroleum contracts, JOAs, PSCs and cost recovery
• Experience delivering professional training or workshops
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English
Desirable experience:
• Middle East Oil & Gas experience
• Background in international audit firms or national oil companies
• Experience mentoring senior professionals
• Evaluate auditor competency through technical simulations, case studies and data analytics-driven audit exercises
• Lead professional development initiatives to enhance the technical proficiency and leadership skills of junior audit teams.
