We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dietitian with energy and drive, to join our team to cover a period of maternity leave.

This senior paediatric post supports primarily our award winning Paediatric Diabetes team. This post is 4 days/week Diabetes and 1 day /week Home Enteral Tube Feeding. You will work as an integral member of these highly performing MDT teams. The Diabetes team has amongst the best outcomes in the country. This senior paediatric post supports our expanding Diabetes service. The workload consists of inpatients, outpatients as well as community-based care. The Diabetes team works across the 3 sites with 3.5 WTE Dietitians and 4 paediatric specialist nurses, 4 Clinical nurse specialists and a band 8 lead nurse specialist. The team have active quality improvement projects and specialist working groups. The cohort includes a significant type 2 diabetes population with innovative care pathways which are showing positive outcomes.

You will ideally have good clinical dietetic experience. Acute Paediatric experience or experience working within Diabetes is essential. HETF experience is highly desirable. You must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.

We have a well-established programme of quality improvement and research, and fully encourage CPD. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your career.

To work within the multidisciplinary team, to provide highly specialized dietetic advice to children and young people with Diabetes as inpatients and outpatients.



One day per week to work within the multidisciplinary team and Integrated Service for Children with Disabilities, to provide highly specialized dietetic advice to children and young people receiving Home Enteral Feeding (HEF) in Tower Hamlets.To provide outpatient clinics in these areas. Also to undertake home visits and school clinics/visits.



The post holder would undertake research and audit on a regular basis to ensure that practice is evidence based.
