Roles & Responsibilities
  • Targeted Interventions: Plan and deliver bespoke small-group sessions focused on closing the attainment gap in literacy and numeracy.

  • Behaviour for Learning: Support the implementation of the school's positive behaviour policy, using de-escalation techniques and restorative practice.

  • 1:1 Support: Provide dedicated assistance to pupils with specific learning needs or EHCPs, ensuring they can access the full breadth of the curriculum.

  • Learning Environment: Assist in creating and maintaining engaging, resource-rich classroom displays that celebrate pupil achievement.

  • Feedback & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of pupil progress during interventions and provide regular updates to the class teacher.

  • Safeguarding: Act as a vigilant professional, strictly adhering to all child protection protocols to ensure a safe learning environment.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: A recognised qualification in supporting teaching and learning (Level 2 or 3) is highly desirable.

  • Experience: Previous experience working within a primary school setting is essential for this role.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with pupils, staff, and parents.

  • Adaptability: The ability to remain calm and proactive in a fast-paced environment, adjusting support to meet varying pupil needs.

  • Commitment: A genuine passion for social mobility and improving the life chances of children through education.

  • Compliance: Possession of an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for a new one.
