Location: Aspatria, Cumbria
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Hours: 16 hours per week (part-time)
Shifts: Waking Night support between 20:00 - 07:00
(Hours can be worked as shorter shifts or combined for flexibility, depending on availability)
We’re recruiting a compassionate and reliable Female Support Worker to join a small, dedicated care team supporting a woman with complex medical needs in her own home.
While the role includes supporting clinical needs such as a tracheostomy and PEG, it is first and foremost about providing dignified, person-centred care and helping her live a full and meaningful life.
Previous experience in a care setting is essential, but clinical experience is not required — full training will be provided.
The RoleYou’ll provide 1:1 support as part of a close-knit team, delivering safe, respectful and empowering care.
Key responsibilities include:
Care & Support
Tracheostomy support (training provided)
PEG feeding and medication support
Monitoring observations and general wellbeing
Personal care and daily routines
Emotional reassurance and companionship
Independence & Lifestyle
Encouraging gentle movement and independence
Supporting appointments and activities
Maintaining a calm, respectful home environment
Comfortable working around pets (two dogs and a cat)

Good written and spoken English

Willingness to learn clinical and emergency procedures
A warm personality and ability to build strong rapport
