Crynodeb
The post holder is employed by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and will work across and beyond all our hospital sites; St James University Hospital, Leeds General Infirmary, Chapel Allerton, Wharfedale and Seacroft Hospitals and Moor House. The MMPS Clinical Services Unit (CSU) provides and leads comprehensive pharmaceutical and medicines management services to patients and staff of LTHT in accordance with all relevant standards and legislation. The post holder is responsible for leadership within the pharmacy service (as described in the specific aspects of supplementary information) supporting the MMPS Lead Clinicians and working in partnership with other MMPS Associate Lead Clinicians and wider clinical and operational leads to deliver high quality services. The post holder will support the delivery of high quality pharmacy and medicines optimisation services across LTHT and beyond, influencing the use of medicines across all LTHT CSUs and across the Leeds Place via care pathways and collaboration with colleagues in primary care. The post holder will be a role model in the field of pharmacy practice and provide a consistently high quality pharmaceutical service in line with National initiatives and MMPS objectives. The post holder will provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters in their own specialist area and undertake risk management for this area. Be responsible to the relevant MMPS Lead Clinician for the delivery of the pharmacy services (provided through the post holders areas of responsibility) across LTHT programmes of work and CSU delivery plans. To include delivery of programmes of work informed by the NHS 10 year Strategic plan, the Trust Strategic Plan, the Hospital Pharmacy Transformation Plan and ensuring that this work is undertaken through the Leeds Improvement Methodology. Being responsible to the relevant MMPS Lead Clinician ensure that the workforce under the post holders leadership is empowered, supported in development and succession planning and, trained in quality improvement methodology.
