Key responsibilities of the Part-time Behaviour Mentor include:
- Conducting assessments to identify the specific SEMH needs of individual students
- Developing and implementing personalised intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and other professionals
- Providing one-to-one and small group support sessions to help students develop coping strategies and social skills
- Monitoring student progress and adapting support plans as necessary
- Liaising with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with school policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field (e.g. , B.Ed. , M.Ed. , or PGCE)
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to ensuring student welfare
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school
Our client offers a competitive salary of £95 - £114.55 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a part-time position, with working hours to be agreed upon based on the needs of the students and the school.
