Our small yet well-established client, who have ambitious future growth plans, are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their fun and ‘family feel’ team as an Assistant Accountant. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based from their offices in Staunton, Gloucester.
You will be responsible for all day-to-day financial operations as well as assisting with general administration for the wider company as required. To apply, you must have experience working within a similar accounts position.
Whether you have previous finance experience or hold an accountancy qualification this may be the excellent opportunity to utilise your skills in a new role. To be considered for this role you must have strong attention to detail and a willingness to get stuck in along with a good sense of humour and a love for dogs! Most of all, you must be a team player.
Responsibilities:
-Process invoices, reconcile accounts and manage expense claims.
-Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure all documentation is filed appropriately.
-Support month-end and year-end processes.
-Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
-Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
-Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve any account-related queries.
-Support the Finance Manager in additional ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as required.
Candidate Attributes:
-Previous accounts experience
-AAT, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification
-Experience working with Microsoft Office including Excel
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to get stuck in and work closely alongside other members of the team
-Bubbly personality with ability to speak to people at all levels
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm (flexi time can be offered to start or finish slightly earlier or later)
Salary: Up to £33k per annum depending on experience + free parking
