Summary
Our client, based in Newent, is currently recruiting for a Communication Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis for 3 months. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a not-for-profit organisation which has a positive impact on the people they support and provides their staff with a great working atmosphere!
You will work across a broad mix of communication channels and provide support to the communications team in the delivery of key projects across the business.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong writing skills and a good understanding of social media, digital communications, internal communications and media relations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Creating and editing content for both internal and external communication channels
-Ensure that all content aligns to brand guidelines and tone of voice
-Support the management of social media channels including creating and scheduling content
-Support media outreach by managing media lists, logging press coverage, and supporting media interviews and events as required
-Help ensure that the company literature and website are kept up to date
-Work with external suppliers such as designers, printers, and web developers to manage day-to-day ordering and issues
Candidate Attributes:
-Experience of working in marketing, PR, internal communications
-Creative and forward thinking, with a customer centric approach
-Experience of using or working with intranet and website content management systems
-Ability to work independently
Hours - Monday - Friday – 37 hours per week
Salary: £14 per hour + free onsite parking
