About RAFAKidz
RAFAKidz is on a mission to provide exceptional, affordable childcare tailored to the unique needs of Armed Forces and civilian families. With nurseries located on or near RAF and MOD stations across the UK, we are proud to be fully OFSTED-registered and committed to safeguarding, quality, and excellence. We work closely with children, families, and partner organisations to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. Our strong ties to the RAF and the RAF Association help us deliver a curriculum and environment that supports the needs of serving families.
The Role
This is a newly created role based within our growing RAFAKidz Head Office team based in Leicester. The RAFAKidz Marketing Officer is responsible for planning and delivering marketing activity to raise the profile of the RAFAKidz Nursery Group and support key objectives: attracting high-quality staff, maintaining nursery occupancy, and strengthening the RAFAKidz brand. Acting as the main point of contact for RAFAKidz marketing, the role involves managing relationships with agencies and suppliers. Reporting to the Head of Services Marketing, the officer will also contribute to wider organisational marketing and engagement initiatives as needed.
Primary responsibilities
Deliver marketing activity to maintain RAFAKidz nursery occupancy and attract high-quality staff, in collaboration with the Executive Director and team.
Protect and promote the RAFAKidz brand in partnership with the Corporate Comms team.
Lead integrated recruitment and occupancy campaigns, ensuring brand compliance and effective multi-channel delivery.
Act as the subject matter expert for RAFAKidz marketing, aligning activity with organisational priorities.
Stay informed on early years policy, grants, and government initiatives to inform marketing strategy.
Support nursery teams in promoting RAFA services to families, working closely with Services and Community Marketing Officers.
Manage day-to-day coordination with agencies and suppliers to maximise campaign impact.
Collaborate with the Customer Engagement Team to optimise enquiry handling and supporter journeys.
Ensure RAFAKidz marketing aligns with wider organisational plans and avoids duplication.
About you
A background in professional marketing within the Early Years or recruitment sectors is essential for this role. Experience in community/services marketing is also highly desirable. We need you to have a proven track record of delivering successful campaigns or appeals along with a good understanding of audience segmentation and customer journeys. You will have the ability to translate the Association’s work into engaging communications, delivering campaigns on time and within budget.
Experience of using CRM (we use Salesforce) is essential for campaign management, analysis and reporting. A creative proactive problem solver with excellent relationship building skills with a number of stake will thrive in this role!
