Salary: £19,414 to £20,682 (pro rata). (subject to term time adjustment). The salary stated will be subject to a term time only adjustment for the commencement of employment outside of the start date of 1st September.
Part Time: 39 weeks. Hours: 32.50 (part time). Salary: Grade 4 SCP 5 - 9.
Mon – Fri 8.00 am to 3.00 pm (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch)
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Receptionist & Administrative Assistant to join our busy administration team. This is a key role as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and pupils, providing a professional, efficient, and welcoming service at the school’s front desk.
About the Role
This position is split across two areas of responsibility:
• Reception: Acting as the school’s “front of house,” greeting visitors, answering telephone calls, and supporting staff and pupils with enquiries.
• General Administration: Supporting the wider administration team with tasks such as:
• HR Personnel Administration
• Organisation of advertisements/refreshments
• Headteachers PA
• School Planning Coordination (alongside SLT)
• Clerking of Pupil Disciplinary Committee meetings
• General administrative duties
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
• Enthusiastic about working within a school environment
• A good communicator and caring team member, who is flexible and approachable
• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the school
• Capable of working under pressure, prioritising tasks, and maintaining confidentiality
• Experienced in using information management systems, with strong IT skills including MS Office 365
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently using initiative
• Possessing a good sense of humour and a positive attitude
