Location: Sawley, Clitheroe BB7
Overview: Skilled Boners required to break carcasses into primals and perform associated duties in a chilled food production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Break carcasses down from whole to primals using a band-saw or knife.
• Maintain yields and quality standards in line with customer specifications.
• Operate vacuum packing machinery and strapper equipment.
• Box, crate, and palletise fresh products.
• Label bagged products and follow packing specifications.
• Operate scales and collect fat as required.
• Prepare dolays and undertake general duties.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (e.g., Dropped Meat Policy).
• Ensure knife safety, cleaning, and storage procedures are followed.
Pay & Benefits:
Basic Rate: £14.22/hr | Overtime: £21.33/hr (after 40 hours). Holiday entitlement: 5.6 weeks, accrued at 12.07%.
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday (potential weekend work). Shifts: 06:00–14:30 or 15:15–23:45. 30-minute unpaid break.
Compliance Note:
All roles require completion of Right-to-Work checks and adherence to GLAA standards. PPE and health & safety training will be provided on site.
