What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher to join our inclusion team, with the ability to teach English and maths to students in Year 7 and Year 8.
This role would be well-suited to either a qualified primary (KS2) teacher with a passion for subject teaching at lower secondary level, or a secondary-trained teacher with experience and confidence in teaching Key Stage 3. We welcome applications from professionals with a strong understanding of pedagogy and a commitment to engaging, inclusive teaching.
Ideally you will have a passion for developing reading and experience of delivering phonics interventions. Teachers are provided with high-quality schemes of work and comprehensive resources. While these provide a strong foundation, we expect staff to make appropriate adaptations to meet the needs of their learners and to personalise their teaching approach. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, inclusive learning environment while continuing to grow your own professional practice.
What the school offers its staff
North West Academies Trust believes that an aspirational and inspirational education is the right of every child. Our success is driven by a commitment to relentlessly work to improve standards and outcomes for our pupils.
As specialists in providing high-quality education, we are passionate about supporting schools within their communities and helping to ensure outstanding learning opportunities for every child.
As part of NWAT we believe that the best possible education can only be provided if children are happy, well-fed and well-cared for. We understand that children learn best through experiences and that skills should be learned through fun, excitement and challenges. Residentials, swimming, inter-school sports and special days out take pride of place on all of the Trust school calendars.
For our staff, we offer:
• Flexible working arrangements.
• Enrolment to the Medicash Proactive Health Plan to help with costs of everyday healthcare.
• Access to 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
• Accredited counsellor to offer wellbeing support for all staff.
• Positive recognition culture.
• Bespoke professional development opportunities.
• Open door policy for communication across the Trust.
• Opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of NWAT.
