Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ASW - Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience to join our dynamic team in the Assessment & Safeguarding unit. In this role, you will play a critical part in assessing the needs of individuals and families referred to our services, providing them with the support necessary to enhance their well-being and safety. As a social worker, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, to develop and implement effective intervention plans. Your expertise in assessment and safeguarding practices will be essential in identifying risks and ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive appropriate support. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and risks of service users.
Develop, implement, and review support plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
Monitor the progress of interventions and make necessary adjustments to support plans as needed.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
Provide advocacy and support to service users in navigating health and social care systems.
Participate in safeguarding investigations, providing accurate reports and recommendations.
Maintain comprehensive and confidential case records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work) and current registration with the appropriate social work regulatory body.
A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in social work, specifically within assessment and safeguarding.
Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, safeguarding practices, and relevant local policies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proficiency in conducting assessments and formulating intervention plans based on identified needs.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
