What does this Support Worker job involve?
Hours of Work:0 Hour Contract - Up To Full Time Hours Available. Shifts : 08:00 - 20:00 / 20:00 - 08:00
Day-to-day duties include:
• Assisting with personal care
• Administering medication
• Assisting with meal times
• Teaching daily living skills
• Ensuring emotional wellbeing
• Attending community activities
• Promoting independence and safety
• Completing care notes and following care plans
• Communicating with families and professionals
• Uphold safeguarding, dignity and high-quality standards to improve each person’s wellbeing and outcomes
Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?
• Relevant work experience in a support worker or care worker role is desirable however full training is provided
• A genuine passion for care
• A strong team player
• Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support when needed
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer literacy
• NVQ 1/2 Health and Social Care Certificate (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
• A full UK driving licence is desirable but not required.
All MidCo Care staff are required to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
