Do you have experience of risk identification, risk management and safeguarding? Do you have high levels of integrity with the ability to manage a workload in the busy and high demand area of safeguarding? Do you want to contribute to the work of a multi-disciplined team in order to protect those who are vulnerable within our communities?

If the answer is yes to the above you may be interested in applying for the post of Safeguarding Officer. The role involves, amongst other things, the risk assessment of domestic abuse incidents, supporting the information sharing relationship with Social Services and being involved in the Clare’s Law process.

In this role you will identify and manage safeguarding issues and concerns, you will prepare research, reports and make referrals. A methodical and logical approach to your workload is required and an ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines. The information you are dealing with will often be of a sensitive nature. Whilst not essential to the role, experience of dealing with victims would be advantageous as well as possessing practical experience of the National Decision Model.
