Do you have high levels of integrity with the ability to manage a workload in the busy and high demand area of safeguarding? If the answer is yes to the above you may be interested in applying for the post of Safeguarding Officer. The role involves, amongst other things, the risk assessment of domestic abuse incidents, supporting the information sharing relationship with Social Services and being involved in the Clare’s Law process.
In this role you will identify and manage safeguarding issues and concerns, you will prepare research, reports and make referrals. Interrogation of Force Systems will be required to gather information, so the ability to research, collate and interpret data from a wide range of sources is essential.
Applicants ideally will have experience of working with partner agencies and will be experienced in research and sharing of information whilst adhering to data protection legislation. A methodical and logical approach to your workload is required and an ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines. The information you are dealing with will often be of a sensitive nature. Whilst not essential to the role, experience of dealing with victims would be advantageous as well as possessing practical experience of the National Decision Model.

The successful candidate will have a period of training upon commencement based in Middlesbrough before moving to their base location in Stockton.
