Crynodeb
St Michael’s is looking to appoint an exceptional Teaching Assistant to work as part of our Early Years Foundation Stage Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our reception class teachers to provide the best education for our pupils. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to nurture and develop positive relationships with our children.
Our children learn through exploration and discovery, we aim to inspire curiosity and develop confidence which is fundamental to our provision in the Early Years . We have a stimulating environment whereby the children are actively encouraged to learn through play. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the characteristics of effective learning and EYFS curriculum. The ability to interact with children’s play and use effective questioning to help them make the next steps in their learning is crucial.
We want someone who is able to use their initiative and be able to advance the children’s learning at every given opportunity. You would also be required to run phonics and maths groups and interventions to ensure our children receive the best start in their education journey.
Experience of Tapestry (or other online learning journals) and Speech and Language programmes would be desirable.The role is 28.75 Hours a week, We will need someone from 8.40am till 3.25pm which gives you 1 hour for lunch.
