Summary

Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Facilities Assistant to ensure our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant. You will be joining our Facilities Management team based at Methley Primary School in Leeds.

Our Total Facilities Management team delivers integrated asset management and maintenance services across education, leisure, corporate, health and residential sectors. We focus on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently – helping our clients create spaces that work for everyone.

Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed and keeping the premises clean and orderly.

You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills. If you take pride in maintaining high standards and creating safe, welcoming environments, we would love to hear from you.

This is a part time position and the hours will be 2.30pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday, 22.5 hours per week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and deliver service levels in line with contractual requirements, liaising with the client as needed.
  • Provide leadership and full line management for all cleaning staff, including support, guidance, and training.
  • Work hands-on with the cleaning team, ensuring schedules and targets are met.
  • Manage staff rotas and cover for sickness and holidays to maintain adequate resourcing.
  • Control cleaning product stock and report equipment procurement needs to the Superintendent.
  • Supervise site operations, handle incidents per procedures, and maintain school security.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations, creating a safe environment for all.
  • Perform and oversee cleaning duties, including emergency and reactive tasks, and report faults promptly.
  • Support additional responsibilities, such as winter gritting, out-of-hours cover, and contractor inductions, while aligning with Pinnacle values.

Key Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment and products.
  • Planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience of managing or supervising staff.
  • Cleaning NVQ or relevant experience.
