Total Social are working with Tameside MBC who are looking for an experienced locum Children's Team Manager for their Duty and Assessment Service.
Children’s Services in Tameside are on an improvement journey and we looking for a committed and enthusiastic Team Managers to join us in our Duty and Assessment Teams.
For this role you will have considerable experience of working with children and their families in a statutory social care environment, specifically managing and supporting social workers and ASYEs, and a wealth of experience supervising complex caseloads on a busy team. As Team Manager you will be responsible for a team providing assessment, planning and intervention services to children in need of a statutory assessment.
With fantastic leadership skills and attributes, you will ensure your team members are well supported and equipped to succeed. We expect you to have extensive frontline experience as well as a solid track record of managing and developing a team. Building positive relationships is important not just with the children, young people and families we work with but also with colleagues and external partner agencies.
Qualifying candidates require at least three years’ post-qualifying experience in direct / permanent employment of an English local authority in children’s services.
