The Opportunity
As an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing, delivering, and supporting radiometric characterisation and alarm systems across the UK and internationally. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to contribute to nuclear safety and innovation while advancing your career in a highly specialised and impactful field.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
- Develop and verify technical solutions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Lead investigations and drive design improvements across projects
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to manage specifications and delivery
- Support project execution and mentor junior engineers
- Promote engineering excellence, health and safety, and cultural change across the business
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams across varied project types
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering systems input and providing post-installation or third-line technical support
- Liaising with customers and suppliers on-site for testing, installation, and commissioning
- Background in EC&I, Physics, or Radiometric, with experience in control systems and analogue/digital electronics
It’s great if you also have the following
- Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronics, control and instrumentation, or a related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it
The setting for the role
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
