Your duties and responsibilities will be
As a Senior CE&I Engineer, you will support work scope delivery within the SFM and Remediation Enabling Projects Portfolio, reporting to the Team Engineering Leads. Your core responsibilities will include leading detailed design activities, providing execution support, and mentoring junior engineers. You will be expected to ensure engineering work aligns with safety, quality, and schedule requirements, whilst maintaining effective stakeholder communication.
You will be responsible for designing and specifying electrical distribution systems compliant with BS7671, safety systems compliant with BS EN 61508 and ES 2100 standards, process instrumentation, and other related systems on a site-based or occasional site visit basis.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Proven experience in delivering Electrical, Control & Instrumentation designs, especially for regulated or high-hazard environments.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical supply systems, UPS, motor drives, small power, safety systems and process instrumentation.
- Expertise in designing safety-critical systems to relevant standards, including BS EN 61508.
- Ability to obtain SC Clearance and P1 Pass before starting on the project.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading technical work streams and mentoring team members.
