Your duties and responsibilities will be
As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the CE&I electrical systems design in support of multiple site projects. You will oversee the creation and review of engineering deliverables in all project phases, from concept to installation and commissioning. Your responsibilities include guiding technical decisions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will produce project documentation, support design reviews, and contribute your expertise to optimise engineering solutions.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Proven experience delivering CE&I design packages, translating user requirements into safe, legal design solutions
- Extensive knowledge of space management, panel layouts, cable routing, and cable calculations
- Strong understanding of process instrumentation, LV electrical power and services design, and safety systems
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within integrated delivery teams under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging at all levels
- Desirable qualifications include a professional registration such as IEng or CEng, with preferred candidates having an engineering degree (BEng/MEng). Experience managing design delivery teams and knowledge of Machinery Safety and UKCA Marking are advantageous.
