Location: Exeter, Devon (roles also available in Taunton, Exmouth, Torquay, Plymouth + surrounding areas)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate - paid weekly
Contract: Flexible, Full-Time/Part-Time, Ongoing
About the Role
Velox Social Care is recruiting motivated and reliable Children & Young People Support Workers to join our growing team across Devon. This is a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable young people in residential homes and community settings, helping them feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
You'll be working in stable, nurturing environments where every day brings the chance to make a positive impact on a young person's life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and practical support to Children and Young People
- Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and personal development
- Follow individual care plans and safeguarding guidelines
- Maintain clear and accurate daily reports
- Work collaboratively with your team, management, and external professionals
- Work a variety of shifts including long days, short days, nights, evenings, and weekends
What We're Looking For
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
✔ Right to Work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship)
✔ Minimum 6 months UK experience supporting Children or Young People
✔ Three references (2 professional + 1 character)
✔ An in-date Physical Intervention qualification or willingness to complete Team Teach Level 2
✔ An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
✔ Flexibility with working hours
✔ Drivers strongly encouraged, as we frequently support with transport
