This school is seeking a dynamic and experienced School Business Manager to join their leadership team. This pivotal role will oversee the financial, administrative, and operational functions of the school, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting our mission to provide an outstanding education environment for pupils with Autism and a range of special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage financial systems, processes, and budget preparation, including EBITDA oversight.
*Ensure compliance with education regulations, standards, and inspection frameworks.
*Uphold safeguarding and legislative procedures when working with children and young people.
*Lead on HR, recruitment, and employee relations, ensuring best practice.
*Provide effective team leadership and management, setting and achieving high standards.
*Build and promote positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
*Assess situations accurately, resolve problems effectively, and make sound decisions.
*Contribute to the wider aims of the school with flexibility, enthusiasm, and a solution-focused mindset.
Person Specification
*Previous School Business Manager experience preferred.
*Knowledge and understanding of education regulations, inspection frameworks, and safeguarding legislation.
*Strong financial management skills, including EBITDA and budget preparation.
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a wide range of stakeholders.
*Experience in HR, recruitment, and employee relations.
*Ability to set and achieve high, appropriate, and attainable standards.
*Effective team leadership and management skills.
*Supportive, approachable, flexible, and solution-focused mindset.
*Previous experience in a similar setting is advantageous, but not essential.
*Dedication to understanding and learning about Autism and special educational needs.
*A keen willingness to learn and enthusiasm to be involved in all aspects of school life.
