About the Role:This school is seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Technician to join their school team. This is a hands-on role where you will play a vital part in ensuring the buildings, facilities, and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose, creating the best possible environment for pupils to learn and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver all activities with an energy-efficient ethos.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests via online ticketing systems.
- Assist with planned maintenance inspections across services, utilities, and building fabric.
- Organise and carry out the movement of furniture and equipment as required.
- Maintain and audit school vehicles, mileage logs, and usage registers.
- Ensure the safe storage and administration of keys, tools, equipment and materials.
- Record findings and take necessary action as part of the maintenance team.
- Carry out any additional tasks and responsibilities as instructed.
What We are Looking For
- Practical skills in general maintenance and repairs.

- Commitment to health and safety and energy efficiency.

Experience
- At least two years' experience in site maintenance in a similar role.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
- Proven understanding of safe working principles and Health and Safety legislation.
- Knowledge of COSHH and safe use of chemicals.
- Competence in basic repairs using a range of tools and equipment.
- Strong IT skills.
- Willingness to work unsociable hours when required.
