An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed leader to work with the Reducing Restrictive Practices team within LSCFT.

Working within the team you will support front line services to promote least restrictive practices across Lancashire and South Cumbria whilst providing specialist knowledge and advice to health professionals in line with trust policies and procedures. A critical element of the role will be the ability to foster excellent relationships with staff and service users whilst liaising with the wider MDT regarding reduction strategies; a significant consultancy service will be offered.

Interviews will take place on 1st December

Through excellent leadership skills you will be required to support clinical teams to review incidents of restrictive practice with the use of debrief, coaching and supervision. Using this information you will then be required to support nursing staff in the development of individualised care plans.

You will join a team of dedicated Reducing Restrictive Practices Specialist Nurses to support the trust ensuring that education meets best practice guidelines and the standards that are required to make our environments safer for staff and service users.

We are looking for an experienced registered nurse with a background of teaching others and a keen interest in the Reducing Restrictive Practice and experience of teaching others to join the team on a permanent, full-time.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
