Health & Safety Advisor required to join a highly reputable privately owned contractor based in Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a regional contractor with over thirty years' experience as one of the leading specialists in their realm of work.
Specialising in maintenance and refurbishment contracts for leading public and private sector frameworks. The ideal health & Safety advisor will come from a similar background. With extensive experience training and coaching individuals both internally and externally on site and amongst the wider business.
Responsibilities for Health & Safety Advisor
- Proactively train, teach and lead regarding correct protocol, business standards & management systems.
- Represent the business from a health & safety standpoint with stakeholders, clients & subcontractors.
- Regularly investigate and carry out risk assessments across sites and the wider business, producing reports and recommendations to the senior leadership team to drive and promote best practice with Health & Safety regulations and standards.
Requirements for Health & Safety Advisor
- Preferably a certified member of IOSH
- NEBOSH Diploma or level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety & IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation's and changes within the construction industry
- Previous experience dealing with Asbestos
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
