Role Overview
The school is seeking an enthusiastic, visionary, and highly skilled SENDCo to lead and enhance its inclusive provision. The successful candidate will be confident in shaping internal policies, collaborating with external professionals, and supporting families to ensure every child's voice is heard and valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day provision for pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs and SEN support plans
- Lead on the application, review, and implementation of personalised plans
- Provide expert guidance to staff on SEND pedagogy, resources, and best practice
- Support the implementation of the school's Inclusion strategy in line with the SEND Code of Practice
- Foster transparent, collaborative relationships with staff, families, and external agencies
- Champion inclusive teaching and learning, with innovative approaches to assessment and differentiation
Essential Requirements
- NASENCO qualification
- Enhanced DBS check, ideally registered on the Update Service
- Proven experience working with a range of SEND needs
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
