Our client, a highly respected educational institution in Harlow, Hertfordshire, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

As a key member of our client's staff, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualised support to students with various learning difficulties and disabilities. Your primary focus will be to ensure that each student receives the necessary guidance and assistance to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within the school environment.
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students with special educational needs
- Providing one-on-one support to students, adapting teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning styles and abilities
- Assisting students with their daily activities, including personal care and mobility, as needed
- Encouraging students to participate in classroom activities and engage with their peers
- Monitoring and recording student progress, and regularly communicating with teachers and parents
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Attending meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of special educational needs
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience working with children with special educational needs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support and empower students
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals
- Proficiency in using educational technology and assistive devices
- First Aid and safeguarding certifications (desirable)
