Pay Rate: £21.00 per hour - 40 hours per week
Permanent Role
Role Purpose
As a Metal Finisher, you’ll be responsible for grinding, sanding, filing, and correcting defects on metal components using both hand and power tools. You’ll work as part of a busy, skilled production team, delivering high-quality cosmetic finishes on automotive components to meet customer standards.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in metal finishing within an automotive production environment, particularly working on skin / ‘A’ surface finishes.
Strong understanding of cosmetic part requirements and methods of correction.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment.
Main Duties
Grind, file, or sand metal surfaces using hand tools and power tools, applying the correct metal finishing techniques.
Inspect and assess surfaces to identify defects such as dents, scratches, or imperfections.
Remove dents using hammer and dolly block techniques.
Smooth and prepare surfaces to the required finish, suitable for bright metal polishing.
Correct and improve defects in cosmetic/skin pressed parts.
Work collaboratively within a fast-paced production environment.
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
