We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team at Raise Rochdale PRS- a dynamic and inclusive Pupil Referral Service that supports learners who require additional support to thrive.
Our dedicated staff team work collaboratively to provide a safe, nurturing, and aspirational environment where pupils can re-engage with learning, develop resilience, and prepare for positive next steps.
Newly established in September 2025, our vision is to provide an Alternative Curriculum which will improve the educational experiences and life chances of all learners in Rochdale.
As Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping our vision and leading on our whole-school priorities.
The Role
Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will:
- Support high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil progress across the service.
- Contribute to a culture of aspiration, respect, and inclusion.
- Build strong partnerships with families, external agencies, and mainstream schools.

- An experienced, outstanding teacher with a strong track record in improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
- Skilled in behaviour management and trauma-informed practice.
- A reflective practitioner with a passion for inclusive education.
- Able to inspire, motivate, and challenge staff and pupils alike.
