Crynodeb
Undertake detailed psychological assessments as part of autism diagnostic pathways (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R, cognitive and emotional functioning tools, structured interviews). Analyse and interpret assessment findings, considering co-occurring conditions (ADHD, learning disability, mental health difficulties). Work collaboratively with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, and other MDT members in diagnostic formulation and feedback. Write clear, evidence-based diagnostic reports to inform clinical decision-making and provide recommendations. Deliver feedback sessions to individuals and families, ensuring sensitive and supportive communication. Contribute to post-diagnostic care, including psychoeducation, signposting, and therapeutic interventions where appropriate. Ensure safeguarding responsibilities and duty of candour obligations are fulfilled.
