Crynodeb
Undertake structured autism assessments as part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic pathway (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R, behavioural observations, developmental history gathering). Provide nursing perspective on co-occurring health needs, including mental health, learning disability, and physical health considerations. Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychiatrists, and other professionals in diagnostic discussions. Produce accurate, person-centred reports summarising assessment findings and recommendations. Contribute to post-diagnostic care, including health advice, signposting, and onward referrals. Provide psychoeducation and practical support to families, carers, and schools. Support risk assessment, crisis planning, and safeguarding where required.
