Chelmsford (HQ) | £40,000 – £60,000 base + commission + car/allowance + expenses
On behalf of a well-established building services provider, we are recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in selling air conditioning and refrigeration (A/C & HVAC-R) maintenance contracts. This role is ideally suited to a sales professional with proven experience in the commercial and hospitality sectors.
The CompanyOur client delivers comprehensive planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service solutions for mechanical, electrical, and specialist building systems. Their dedicated team provides reliable support across offices, hotels, leisure, and commercial facilities, with particular expertise in air conditioning and refrigeration services.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:

Developing and securing new business for air conditioning and refrigeration PPM / maintenance contracts.

Leveraging an existing network within the hospitality, leisure, and commercial property sectors.

Building long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including facilities managers, property managers, and site operators.

Working closely with the service delivery team to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Achieving growth and margin targets, rewarded through a commission / profit-share scheme.
Candidate Requirements-
Proven sales experience within air conditioning, refrigeration, or wider building services is essential; candidates from the construction or FM sector will also be considered.

Demonstrable track record of winning PPM and service contracts.

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of HVAC-R systems.

Consultative sales style with the ability to manage complex sales cycles.

Based within reach of Chelmsford with willingness to travel regularly to client sites.
Package-
Base salary: £40,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)

Commission / profit-share scheme (negotiable for the right individual)
