Starting in January 2026, a wonderful three day nanny role is becoming available in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. This friendly and professional family is looking for a patient, kind, nurturing, fun and reliable nanny who can stay long term and become part of their happy family. They live a short walk from the town, so a driver is not essential.
You will be taking care of one delightful baby boy, aged 14 months.
The hours will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 09.00-18.30 (28.5 hours/week). There may also be some ad hoc days and babysitting, but any additional hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
The parents are keen for their little boy to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help him to hit his various developmental milestones – with lots of stimulating and educational indoor fun (reading, singing, jigsaws, craft, imaginary games, etc) mixed with plenty of outside play and walks to the park. The parents would like him to attend educational and fun groups and activities (music group, library, etc) to allow him to mix with other children, ensuring that he is always happy and safe. You should have a real love and understanding of child development.
As they have a weekly cleaner, this role will be nursery duties only, but some help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated – emptying the dishwasher, running the hoover round if required, making sure all rooms are tidy at the end of the day, etc.
As well as general care of the baby and keeping all areas used clean and tidy (kitchen, his bedroom and playroom, etc), the nursery duties are to include keeping on top of his laundry. Mum is happy to prepare his food, that you will serve the baby each day. Knowledge of weaning and potty training is essential.
If you drive, you will need to be a careful and confident driver with your own fully insured car and a clean licence. Duty mileage will be paid. However, walking and keeping local is the parent’s preference.
This is a fabulous role and would suit someone who is happy to make a long-term commitment.
