Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Family PA to help care for a family of five, including three children, one who is away at school and two who are at home, aged nine and eleven. They are happy and busy children with sports and other after school activities. This professional and relaxed family live in a beautiful house, with a large garden, in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The family enjoying being outside and taking part in sports.
The working hours will be Monday to Friday, from 14:00 to 20:00 (30 hours). There will also be opportunities for additional ad hoc hours for babysitting and potential overnight stays, to be mutually agreed, and paid as overtime.
You will need to be a careful and confident driver to help with school runs and after school activities. There is a duty car available for you to use.
Once the children are back from school, you will oversee any homework and ensure they have everything they need for the following day – uniform, sports kits, etc.
In addition to general childcare responsibilities when they are home, this role includes family PA duties, such as family laundry, organising the children’s clothes and toys, maintaining tidiness in the kitchen, children’s bedrooms and playroom, and ensuring all rooms used are tidy by the end of the day. Although the family has a weekly cleaner, any additional tasks to keep the home running smoothly would be appreciated, such as emptying the dishwasher, vacuuming when necessary and running errands (picking up groceries, post office, dry cleaners, etc). You will oversee all school admin, making sure that the children have everything they require.
The ideal candidate will enjoy cooking and provide the family with a cooked meal each day, involving the children in the meal planning each week.
This family also includes two friendly dogs, so a pet lover is essential.
