An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an experienced and versatile team, delivering first-class administration services to our world-class Armed Forces personnel. Based at HMS Collingwood in Fareham, the Administration Supervisor will lead a small team of skilled administrators to deliver a customer-focused Military Personnel Administration Service. On-the-job training can be provided where appropriate.
As a Subject Matter Expert in various elements of personnel administration, the post holder will be responsible for promoting best practices and ensuring the contracted requirements are delivered to the appropriate quality standards and agreed service levels. This includes completing internal checks, implementing controls, and carrying out compliance audits. The role involves fostering the development and optimum performance of the delivery team, while taking timely action to mitigate risks and prevent service failures. Additionally, the successful candidate will identify and implement innovative solutions to meet the evolving demands of the business within contractual boundaries.
All duties must be performed in full compliance with current Health and Safety regulations and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). The role also includes undertaking any additional tasks as directed by the Line Manager, including leading on change initiatives to support the changing needs of the business.
The ideal candidate will be well-organised, professional, and a confident communicator, with strong integrity and the ability to work under pressure. They should have proven administration and supervisory experience, good organisational and customer service skills, and be IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office. A proactive approach, adaptability to change, and the ability to manage shifting priorities are essential. Knowledge of MOD systems and Health & Safety practices (IOSH desirable) is an advantage, along with a good standard of education.
