St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a school admin support assistant. You will ideally have experience of working in a school office or similar role. The candidate will be the first point of contact for parents and visitors. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: day-to-day tasks including updating registers, answering inbound queries, making outbound phone calls, parent liaison, safeguarding concerns, and medical issues. Ensuring that admin tasks and paperwork are completed efficiently and effectively, whilst maintaining a high quality of work. Ensuring school systems are up to date and information is uploaded to school systems accurately.
This is a permanent vacancy for 35 hours per week, term-time only (including INSET days) starting as soon as possible.
We are a one form entry Catholic primary school and the children are at the very centre of everything we do.
We are looking for someone who:
• Can communicate messages to and from parents. Pass messages on to the appropriate staff or children, direct all calls to and from outside agencies
• Is able to be a First Aider, administering medication, responding to children’s needs and being responsible for ensuring first aid equipment is kept up to date and fully stocked (training will be provided)
• Will deal with all confidential matters with tact and discretion
• Can establish positive, professional relationships with parents, staff and children
• Has great organisational skills and is able to work in a calm and efficient way
• Can work well in a team

Working Hours:
• 8.30am – 4pm Monday to Friday (with half hour unpaid lunch break)
