Crynodeb
We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team at the Tullideph service in Dundee. The people we support have a range of needs including Learning Disabilities, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Epilepsy, ADHD, Diabetes, Bi-Polar Disorder, Deafblindness, and Hearing Impairment. Each person has their own lifestyle, interests, and ambitions. Our approach is fully bespoke—whether it’s helping someone pursue a hobby, attend appointments, manage their health, or simply enjoy their day-to-day life.
Day to day you will
>Promote independence, individuality and achievement of goals, with the voices of the people we support at the very centre of everything you do
>Assist with various tasks such as personal care, housework, administering medication and meal preparation
>Attend and participate in meaningful activities both at home and in the community, including cinema, music groups, travel, art, walking groups, voluntary work and swimming
>Liaise with your team and with others to review and ensure you are providing the best quality care
>Maintain accurate up-to-date daily recordings
Shift times
Shift times vary from 7:30am to 10:00pm, across a variety of early, late, mid, sleepover and night shifts (in one of our services). This includes a mix of lone working and 2:1 shifts, with each shift supporting only one individual—giving you the opportunity to build strong, trusting relationships and provide consistent, high-quality support.
What we’re looking for
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Experience is not required – we care much more about your values, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. The skills you need, we will train you in.
Desirable qualities include
>A person-centred mindset
>Good communication and teamwork skills
>Willingness to learn and adapt
>Experience or interest in supporting people with complex needs
What we offer
>Full training and ongoing development
>Supportive team environment
>Opportunities for career progression
>A chance to make a meaningful impact every day
Why you’ll love working here
>Every day is different – no two people we support are the same, and no two days are either.
>You’ll be part of a caring, inclusive team that values collaboration, respect, and kindness.
>We invest in you – with full training, ongoing development, and opportunities to grow your career.
>Your work matters – you’ll be helping people live more independently, confidently, and joyfully.
>A supportive environment – where your ideas and contributions are genuinely valued.
Sense Scotland, we want the lives of the people we support to be about much more than just their support needs – it’s about enjoyment, fulfilment, relationships, wellbeing and meaningful experiences. We encourage team members to bring their own interests and skills into the workplace to share with the people who use our services.
If you’re ready to be part of a team that celebrates individuality and empowers people to live their best lives, we’d love to hear from you.
