Your new role
A nurturing and inclusive nursery setting in the St Helens area is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated early years team. This role involves supporting children in their early development, including those with Special Educational Needs, and providing personal care (nappy changing) where required.The successful candidate will work closely with staff to create a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for all children.
You will help deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, encourage positive social interactions, and support children's individual learning journeys. A key part of the role will involve working with children who have additional needs, offering tailored support and contributing to their progress and wellbeing.
We are looking for someone with experience working with young children in an EYFS/Nursery setting, who is patient, compassionate, and confident in providing personal care. A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable (but not essential), and a genuine passion for early years education is essential.

What you'll need to succeed
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (Desirable but not essential).
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive, with a genuine interest in supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
- Full right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
- Knowledge of Safeguarding
- Experience working with children in a Nursery/EYFS setting.
