About us: Established in 1885, Millwall Football Club is one of the most famous football clubs in England. Currently competing in the EFL Championship, they play their home games at The Den, which is based in South Bermondsey, and has been the home of the Club since 1994



Role Overview:

The Academy Recruitment Coordinator (U12–U16) is responsible for leading the recruitment and talent identification process for players aged 12 to 16. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining and enhancing the club’s youth development pipeline by managing the scouting strategy, overseeing trial games and festivals, and building a strong network across the grassroots and youth football landscape



Key Responsibilities:

The role includes, but is not limited to:

· Coordinate and manage the recruitment and scouting process for players aged U12–U16

· Oversee the design and delivery of Talent ID initiatives such as trial games and recruitment festivals

· Advise on and monitor the progress of trialist players during the recruitment process

· Supervise and support a team of part-time scouts working within the U12–U16 age groups, ensuring effective communication, coverage, reporting and performance monitoring

· Identify and liaise with local clubs, schools, and community organisations to support recruitment activity

· Build and maintain strong relationships across the grassroots football network within the club’s catchment area

· Ensure all administrative, logistical, and operational tasks are completed to a high standard and on time

· Represent the club in a professional, respectful, and community-focused manner

· Ensure compliance with FA Regulations, FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, EFL Youth Development Rules and EPPP requirements, including the use of Kitman Labs Intelligence Platform



Essential Requirements / Qualifications:

· FA Level 2 in Talent ID

· Strong understanding of the local football landscape and catchment area

· Demonstrable experience identifying talent across grassroots and elite youth levels

· Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends

· Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with a professional and honest approach

· And finally, from a safeguarding perspective, the successful candidate should be resilient, self-aware and open to sharing information



Desired Requirements / Qualifications:

· FA Level 3 or 4 in Talent ID

· Experience in managing a team

· Relevant experience within other EPPP environments

· Knowledge and understanding of EPPP requirements
