Crynodeb
An opportunity to be part of the backstage team on the seven Olivier award winning production of the classic musical CABARET in London’s West End, directed by Rebecca Frecknall and designed by Tom Scutt as we go into our fifth year.
Start Date: October 2025. Minimum contract length of 52 weeks.
Role: Technical Swing
Responsibilities:
Covering the following plots as part of a wider team:
Running lighting plot (board op & stage plot)
Running automation plot (board op & backstage plot)
Running ASM plots
Other duties as agreed with the CM / SM
Lighting and Automation system maintenance
Lighting uses ETC EOS alongside the ZacTrack Follow Spot system
Automation uses STS and we have GUI software that runs the TAIT Navigator system
Contract Type: SOLT/BECTU Agreement
Weekly Fee: BECTU Grade 3 rate plus top-up based on a 46 hour a week buyout
Experience:
Either a qualification in Technical Theatre or at least one year’s experience in a related role in professional theatre. Please do NOT apply for this role if you have no experience of working in a technical capacity backstage in professional theatre.
Experienced of using lighting and automation consoles but training will be given.
