to join our client based with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council.
Location: Rhondda Fach Leisure Centre
Contract Type: Agency Worker (Inside IR35)
Duration: Starting asap, in an ongoing contract
Hours: 37 per week | Monday–Friday | 09:00–17:00
Pay Rate: £12.21 PAYE | £15.95 Umbrella/Ltd
Overview
Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is seeking a proactive and technically capable Junior Digital Communications Assistant to support a temporary peak in workload. This medium-level ICT role offers hands-on experience with key digital communication platforms and network technologies in a dynamic public sector environment.
️ Key Responsibilities
You’ll be providing support across a range of systems and technologies, including:
Cisco (LAN/WAN/Wireless Equipment, Routers, VPN, PIX Firewall)
Aruba Networks
CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager)
Microsoft Teams Telephony
Touchpoint Systems
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone with:
Beginner to intermediate experience in Cisco network design and routers
Hands-on knowledge of Cisco VPN software and firewall configurations
Familiarity with configuration and support of LAN/WAN/Wireless infrastructure
A collaborative mindset and ability to work under pressure during peak periods
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
