At the University of Liverpool, we are committed to the highest standards of care and welfare for animals used in medical research. We are seeking to appoint a full-time Animal Attendant Technician to work in the University’s main animal facility. As part of a conscientious team, you will be responsible for maintaining an auxiliary service for the care, welfare and husbandry of various species of small animals. You will be responsible for delivering a technical service to facilitate the provision of care for protected animals kept for experimental or other scientific purposes at the BSU, and maintain the highest levels of husbandry and containment for all aspects of services pertaining to in vivo research in line with Home Office law.

You will be expected to make a contribution to the technical excellence and successful operation of the Facility and, in doing so, will work alongside skilled professionals committed to finding new cures for major diseases.
