We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate team players, committed High Intensity Therapist/ CBT Therapist to joinLewisham Talking Therapies (IAPT) service. The post is fixed term 12 month to cover maternity and sabatical leave.
The primary role is to provide a specialist psychological therapy service to clients living in Lewisham Borough. This includes specialist assessment, treatment planning (mainly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), and delivery, including monitoring of outcomes on a weekly basis.
The service links with the IAPT training courses at King’s College/ Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN); University College London and The University of Exeter. We also work with centres of clinical excellence and research innovation such as the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (CADAT).
Our motivated staff have engaged with specialised training thus allowing us to offer CBT, CfD, EMDR, DIT, IPT and BCT. Considerable partnership work already exists with our community and we are pleased to hear from applicants who have areas of special interests or skills in leading on this work.

Clinical
• To provide specialist psychological therapy assessments with clients referred to the NHS Talking
Therapies service, based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex
data from a variety of sources including psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales,
direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family
members and others involved in the client’s care.
• To provide at least one NICE recommended psychological therapy for anxiety disorders and/or
depression
• To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management
of a client’s mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the
client’s problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy.
