We’re working with a welcoming Coventry secondary school to recruit a Graduate English Teaching Assistant. This full-time Graduate English Teaching Assistant role provides hands-on classroom experience, tailored training, and the chance to make a real difference in students’ progress.
Graduate English Teaching Assistant – What’s on Offer:
• Competitive weekly pay – up to £550 (term-time only)
• Start date: September 2025
• Monday to Friday – full-time, long-term role
• Support across English Literature and Language lessons
• Provide focused support to help students excel in GCSE English
Graduate English Teaching Assistant – Your Role:
• Work with KS3 and KS4 students in English lessons
• Deliver small group and one-to-one literacy interventions
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons
• Help students develop reading, writing, and critical thinking skills
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to maximise progress
Graduate English Teaching Assistant – Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum 2:1 degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field
• Passion for education and supporting young people’s learning
• Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
• Experience working with young people (mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable
• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated to making a positive impact
