About us

Big Life is in the business of changing lives. We fight inequality by working with people and places to create opportunities and
inspire change. Whatever service we deliver to help people change their lives, we do things the Big Life Way.

What you’ll be doing

As an Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of our busy, fast-paced mental health service -
Talking Therapies Manchester. You’ll be part of a friendly, professional admin team working closely with our psychological
wellbeing practitioners and counsellors.

You’ll be the first point of contact for people using the service, taking referrals and booking appointments, while also handling
sensitive information and maintaining accurate records in line with data protection policies. Your role will include liaising with
professionals, updating databases, preparing reports, and supporting new staff with system training.

What we need from you

* You’ve got experience working in a busy office environment and managing competing priorities.
* You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a confident telephone manner.
* You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word and Excel) and databases.
* You’re highly organised, detail-focused, and can work well independently and in a team.
* You have excellent administrative skills, including data processing, diary management, and record-keeping.
* You’re empathetic, professional, and committed to providing a high-quality experience to clients and staff.
* You need a standard level DBS check for this role.

What we will offer you in return

* An annual salary of £25,583 per annum (NJC Scale Point 5).
* A full time, permanent contract (37.5 hours per week).
* 25 days’ annual leave (rising to 30 after 5 years), plus bank holidays.

* A relaxed culture where you are expected to plan your own day, take breaks when you need them and enjoy your work.
* Ongoing personal and professional development through regular supervision.
* A supportive, flexible approach to managing staff health and wellbeing, including a wide range of perks, schemes and support.
