We're seeking a Contracts Manager to join Movar's growing consultancy team, overseeing the contractual delivery of major infrastructure, utilities, and rail projects across the UK and Ireland.
Founded in 2013, Movar is a specialist project delivery consultancy which helps organisations improve how projects are delivered. With over a decade of success behind them and ambitious growth ahead, they are building a team of project professionals who are curious, collaborative, and passionate about creating lasting change.
In this role, you'll take ownership of all contractual aspects of multi-million-pound capital projects, from initial tender and negotiation through to completion and close-out. You'll ensure contracts are watertight, compliant, and aligned with both client requirements and regulatory obligations protecting commercial interests while enabling successful delivery.
Expect a variety of work, from drafting and negotiating NEC, JCT, and FIDIC contracts, to managing change control, resolving disputes, and ensuring KPIs and contractual milestones are met. You'll work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and legal advisors, acting as the contractual lead in high-stakes environments.
This is a great opportunity to join a people-focused, growing consultancy where your voice will be heard, your ideas welcomed, and your contribution recognised. While Movar supports remote working, you'll need to travel to client sites and offices in the UK or Dublin as required.
Key Requirements: You should be a confident and experienced Contracts Manager / Commercial Manager / Infrastructure Contracts Manager or similar with a CV that demonstrates:
5+ years experience managing complex contracts in infrastructure, utilities, or rail sectors
A proven track record with projects exceeding £10m in value
Expert knowledge of NEC3/4, JCT, and FIDIC forms of contract
Strong understanding of construction law, commercial principles, and dispute resolution
Experience managing claims, variations, and extension of time requests
Familiarity with industry regulations, CDM, and rail sector standards
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Law or related discipline; professional memberships (RICS, ICE, CIOB) is advantageous but not essential.
You'll ideally be based in the UK or Dublin with flexibility to travel. Permanent and contract opportunities are available, with competitive packages:
Permanent: Up to £80,000 + pension, life insurance, and benefits // Contract: £500/day (inside IR35)
Movar offers a supportive, collaborative culture where professional growth is encouraged, and your next project is always lined up. Apply today and join a team shaping the future of project delivery.
